The PRS SE NF 53 is a single-cutaway solidbody built around a swamp ash body, bolt-on maple neck, and 25.5" scale - a format that will feel familiar to players who gravitate toward T-style guitars, but with PRS ergonomic touches like forearm and rib contours and a sculpted heel for better upper-fret access. The core of this guitar is its pair of PRS Narrowfield DD "S" humbuckers: single-coil-sized, hum-canceling pickups voiced for articulate low-end, midrange presence, and clear high-end - closer to a P-90/Telecaster blend than a traditional single-coil, and described by PRS as extremely receptive to gain.
Bridge position delivers bright, spanky tones with midrange shimmer; the neck position is thicker and warmer while staying clear. The 10" fingerboard radius and three-control layout - volume, tone, three-way blade - keep things practical and uncluttered. At under seven pounds, swamp ash keeps the guitar comfortable through long sets.
