This PRS McCarty 594 Hollow Body Wood Library is a fully hollow electric built for players who want genuine vintage-voiced performance with the tonal flexibility to cover a wide range of material. The Wood Library designation means a PRS Signature Dealer hand-selected the tonewoods at the factory, and this example delivers accordingly: a flame maple top and body paired with a Brazilian rosewood neck and fingerboard, a restricted tonewood that places this build well above a standard Core spec. The 24.594" scale length - the source of the "594" name - pairs with a Pattern Vintage neck carve that runs slightly thicker front to back than the standard Pattern profile. The 58/15 LT humbuckers are wound to lower output to capture the open, airy character of late-'50s PAF pickups, and the push-pull tone controls add coil-splitting so you can move between warm humbucker tones and cleaner single-coil response without swapping guitars. Fully hollow construction gives the instrument an acoustic-adjacent resonance and complex overtone bloom that suits clean to edge-of-breakup playing particularly well. At 6 lbs 3.7 oz, it carries lightly for a hollowbody, which matters over a long set. This pre-owned example is in excellent condition with minimal wear. It includes a hardshell case, and as a guitar over $3,000, it receives our complimentary PLEK service and limited lifetime warranty.
