Description
This pre-owned Taylor 818e is in very good condition with light scratches and light wear, and comes with a hardshell case. The 818e uses Taylor's Grand Orchestra body - their largest format - paired with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid Indian rosewood back and sides, all braced with Taylor's V-Class system. V-Class bracing replaces traditional X-bracing to deliver stronger volume, longer sustain, and improved note accuracy simultaneously. The spruce-rosewood pairing produces extended low-end warmth, slightly scooped mids, and clear treble, a voicing that sits well under vocals and blends naturally with other instruments. That midrange character also makes the 818e a capable fingerstyle guitar, not just a strummer's instrument, and the large body provides enough headroom for flatpickers and bold players as well.
Taylor's ES2 pickup mounts three individually calibrated sensors behind the saddle rather than under it, preserving full saddle contact so the guitar's acoustic tone carries through without coloring it when plugged in. The 25.5" scale and West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard round out a setup built for players who already know what they want from a guitar and are ready for an instrument that can handle live performance, recording, and serious practice in equal measure.
