Description
The Taylor K28e is an all-Hawaiian-koa Grand Orchestra acoustic-electric built for players who want a large-body guitar that rewards both strummers and fingerstylists equally. The Grand Orchestra is Taylor's largest body format, and its hybrid parabolic and scalloped bracing allows the top to respond readily to a light touch - you don't need to dig in to get volume and separation. Koa's tonal behavior differs from a spruce-topped guitar: the attack is softer and more controlled, notes bloom gradually and sustain longer, and the guitar tends to open up further with playing time. The all-koa construction pairs midrange warmth with top-end clarity, while the 25.5" scale and Crelicam ebony fingerboard contribute to clear note definition across the range. Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics mean the guitar is stage-ready without modification. The Island Vine inlay, bone nut, and tropical mahogany neck round out a well-specified package that comes with a hardshell case. At this price point, it includes Righteous Guitars' complimentary PLEK service and a limited lifetime warranty. This pre-owned example is in very good condition with minor scratches on the side.
