Description
The Tom Anderson Bulldog is a mahogany-body, Gibson-scale solidbody built on the short-scale humbucker platform - but with Anderson's own ergonomic departures, including a trimmer body depth and a soft-carved back edge that reduces bulk during extended playing. This pre-owned example is in very good condition with some light scratches, small dings, and minor hardware oxidation; the hardshell case shows heavy wear but the guitar itself plays like a working instrument that has been used and cared for. The mahogany neck and body pair with a flame maple top and rosewood fingerboard at 24.75" scale with a Tune-o-Matic bridge, keeping string tension and feel familiar to anyone comfortable on a Les Paul. At the neck position, the HC1+ delivers mid-centered output with articulate upper-mids; the HC3+ at the bridge pushes harder while retaining vintage character - and both humbuckers are reported to split well when you engage the push-pull coil taps on the tone controls, expanding the tonal range considerably. The Bulldog is a discontinued model, which limits how often one surfaces in this condition at this price point, making it a practical option for the player who wants boutique Anderson build quality on a classic mahogany platform without the wait for a new build.
