Finding the Right Taylor Acoustic

A quick map of the line as we stock it: the 200 Series Deluxe models (including the koa 214ce-K and 224ce-K) are the value sweet spot with layered back and sides and solid tops. The 300 Series starts Taylor's all-solid-wood construction. The 400 Series, including the 414ce-R, rotates through regularly in small numbers. The 700 through 900 Series carry flagship appointments, the K Series is solid Hawaiian koa, Builder's Edition adds Andy Powers' ergonomic carves, and the Gold Label Collection goes after a warmer, traditional voice.

Stock rotates weekly. If a specific model is not listed, call us; we usually know what is inbound from Taylor before it arrives.

Frequently asked questions

Do you stock the Taylor 414ce?

The 400 Series rotates through regularly, including the 414ce-R. Stock changes week to week; if it is not listed right now, call us and we will tell you exactly what is inbound.

What is the difference between the 214ce and the 314ce?

The 214ce uses layered rosewood back and sides with a solid spruce top; the 314ce is all solid wood with V-Class bracing. The 314ce costs more and rewards you with more complexity and projection, while the 214ce is one of the best values in the line.

Are your Taylor acoustics PLEK'd?

Every Taylor over $3,000 includes a pass through our in-house PLEK station, Georgia's only PLEK machine, for a precision fret dress and setup. Everything else is still inspected and hand set up before it ships.
