About Taylor Koa Guitars

Koa sits tonally between rosewood and mahogany: bright and articulate when brand new, then warmer and sweeter as the top opens up with playing. Taylor works with sustainably harvested Hawaiian koa across three tiers. The K Series (K14ce, K24ce, K26ce) is solid koa back, sides, and top with top-shelf appointments, including Builder's Edition versions with chamfered edges and beveled armrests. The 200 Series Deluxe koa models (214ce-K, 222ce-K, 224ce-K DLX) pair layered koa back and sides with a solid top for the koa look and a friendlier price. The GS Mini-e Koa brings it to the travel-size body.
